What's a storyboard 

When you make a video for your business, be it a demo video, a sales video, a training video, or any short online business video, planning things out is extremely important.  One of the most important stages of planning out your video is creating a storyboard.

A storyboard is a graphic representation of how your video will unfold, shot by shot. It is made up of a number of squares with illustrations or pictures representing each shot, with notes about what’s going on in the scene and what’s being said in the script during that shot.  Think of it as sort of a comic book version of your script.

Social Media Safety 

Today on November 12, ACSS had a presentation on social media safety, presented by Darren Laur.  it talked about hard topics, but it was very good experience for me.  i learned how dangerous social network is.  The most dangerous thing I've learned is that the picture that I or someone uploaded to social online could be affected in my future. So ill be more careful about that.  Darren Laur also talked about bullying, and i realized again the importance of the bullying problem.  I have learned a lot of things because of the presentation.

Tears flowed freely in downtown Hamilton on Tuesday as Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, who was gunned down while standing guard at the National War Monument in Ottawa, was honored with a regimental funeral in his hometown.

 Halloween is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31.  The word Halloween is a shortening of All Hallows' Evening also known as Hallowe'en or All Hallows' Eve.
Traditional activities include trick-or-treating, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses" and carving jack-o-lanterns.  Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century.  Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century including Ireland, the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom as well as of Australia and New Zealand.

Composition In Digital Photography
Good Composition is a key element of good photographs yet is something that is hard to define.  Instead of looking at composition as a set of ‘rules’ to follow – I view it as a set of ingredients that can be taken out of the pantry at any point and used to make a great ‘meal’ (photograph). Alternatively I’ve often described it as a set of ‘tools’ that can be taken out of one’s compositional tool belt at any given time in the construction of a great image.

Rule of thirds
The rule of thirds is applied by aligning a subject with the guide lines and their intersection        points, placing the horizon on the top or bottom line, or allowing linear features in the image to flow from section to section.

The Golden Rule
The Golden Rule or ethic of reciprocity is a maxim, ethical code or morality that essentially states either of the following: One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself.

Vertical and Horizontal Lines

Vertical lines have the ability to convey a variety of different moods in a photograph ranging from power and strength (think of skyscrapers) to growth (think of trees).

As horizontal lines can be accentuated by shooting in horizontal format vertical lines can be used very effectively by swapping the way you hold your camera into a vertical framing. This lengthens the vertical subject further which can emphasize it’s height.

Oblique Lines

Diagonal lines generally work well to draw the eye of an image’s viewer through the photograph. They create points of interest as they intersect with other lines and often give images depth by suggesting perspective

Curved Lines

Curved lines are all about beauty and charm. The best example of this would be a beautiful female form with all its lines and curves. Of course there are other examples: The curve in a river or a pathway through a flower garden.

Terry Fox Foundation

Terry fox was a Canadian athlete, humanitarian and cancer research activist.  In 1980, with one leg having been amputated, he embarked on a cross-Canada run to raise money and awareness for cancer research.  Although the spread og his cancer eventually forced him to end his quest after 143 days and 5,373 kilometers, and ultimately cost him his life, his efforts resulted in a lasting, worldwide legacy.  The annual Terry Fox Run, first held in 1981, has grown to involve millions of participants in over 60 countries and is now the world’s largest one-day fundraiser for cancer research; over $600 million has been raised in his name.
